Scottish Oak Linoprint by Judith Wild

£90.00

To celebrate the inaugural release of our Scottish Oak Aged Scottish Rum, we commissioned Scottish artist Judith Wild to make a large linocut print of the illustration she created for us for our Scottish oak presentation boxes.

In this scene you’ll see a magnificent ancient oak tree, with flora and fauna inspired by Judith’s visit to our estate. Watson, our distillery cat, guards the nine Scottish oak barrels that we have resting at the distillery. And our beautiful copper still is on show as the heart of what we do at Ninefold.

Judith created this print using the traditional Lino cut process, meticulously carving her design from a sheet of Lino, before inking and hand burnishing onto specialist Japanese papers.

This is a limited edition series of only 15 original hand pulled prints, signed and numbered by the artist.

Size: roughly 42 × 52cm, shipped unframed, rolled in a tube

About the artist:

Judith Wild is an artist working from her home studio in Renfrewshire, originally training in Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee. She carries a lifelong interest in the natural world, and the folk tales and superstitions people associate with nature, particularly in Scotland. In 2023 she moved into printmaking and took part in The Printmakers of Scotland’s first annual festival. To create the illustrations for our Scottish Oak release, she used a traditional calligraphy pen and bottled ink.
