Our award-winning core single cask aged rum, shortlisted for Rum of the Year in 2023 by The Whisky Exchange.
Aged in virgin American oak casks, we now bottle at a minimum of 2 years old. Each bottle has the age statement and the cask number hand-written for authenticity and transparency.
This is an easy-going but luxurious ‘table’ style of rum that drinks easily and has you coming back for another.

Fermented sugar cane molasses and double distilled through our hybrid pot/column copper still, we fill virgin American oak standard barrels (200 litres) from Kentucky, and rest for at least two years before bottling.
We don’t chill-filter, or add sugar or caramel colour to this or any of our aged rums.

Inviting butterscotch and caramel on the nose, with dried figs, soft brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, coconut, banana and oak spices on the palate, and our signature peppery finish.

Named after the distillery cat, this is our range of distillery-only releases.
Intended to be extremely limited, unusual, and showcasing some of our best rums. We’ve only released one bottling so far, with only 30 bottles selling out in a matter of weeks.

Our only release so far was in 2022, Edition #1, with a 3 year old virgin oak aged rum ‘finished’ in a small ex-Oloroso cask.
30 bottles available at cask strength of 59.0%.
Molasses based, and a mix of pot and pot/column hybrid rums from our early experimental days.

Our semi-regular one-off single cask releases at cask strength, showcasing the variety of rums and maturation at Ninefold. Since pretty much all of our maturation is experimental to a degree, and we like to play with rum recipes for ageing, each release is a unique and delicious offering.

Experimental Cask Edition #4 is our latest ECE release. A heady and intense ‘sherry bomb’ or a rum, that definitely appeals to the whisky drinker!
Our core Pure Single Rum marque, matured for 2 years and 9 months exclusively in 60 litre Oloroso casks. Bottled at cask strength of 62.3%, and limited to 238 bottles.

exclusives
We really enjoy teaming up with other brands and select charities to release one-off exclusives. Sometimes under their branding, sometimes under ours.
Celestial Spiced started as a partnership exclusive with The Craft Gin Club, and our aged rum exclusives have opened many doors for us, and helped us introduce our brand to a much wider audience of discerning rum drinkers.
And, naturally, the liquids have been bloomin’ delicious!

17 months of ageing of early experimental rums in a virgin American oak cask, That Boutique-y Rum Company took just 150 bottles worth from us.
The bespoke label had Kit, Watson, the Ninefold angel, and Pete Holland (TBRC brand ambassador) doing a jig, watched on my Old King Cole and Robert the Bruce. Yes, it was an epic label!
A tiny release of a quality rum, that got worldwide attention and opened a lot of doors for us in the end.

The Nith Inshore Rescue is a lifeboat charity covering parts of the Solway Firth, Nithsdale, and Annandale, in Dumfries & Galloway. They are not funded through RNLI and so rely on local fundraising to maintain their life-saving operations.
In 2021 we released 100 bottles of 2 year old rum, finished in an ex-Islay whisky cask. Lovely gentle smokey notes on top of the rich virgin American oak base.
We used a different bottle to ours at the time, screen printed with a map view of the Solway Firth and River Nith, with a neck tag and wax dipped top. Luxurious, and one of our favourite rums ever.

Our core Pure Single Rum marque, aged for three years in ex-bourbon, and released at a hefty cask strength of 62.2%, exclusively for The Whisky Exchange. Only 207 bottles were made, and some are still available through TWE.
This was quite the coup at the time, the first (and only!) UK rum to have an exclusive by TWE. We’re in the small club with the likes of Havana Club, Foursquare, and Hampden distilleries.
SCOTTISH OAK
In 2018 we felled some oak trees on our estate, to eventually be coopered in 2022 into nine 200 litre barrels. Scottish rum, aged in Scottish oak, using trees from the same land where the distillery lies, is a unique and luxury offering.

Aged for three years in cask #DO32, a toasted Scottish oak barrel, we are bottling 240 bottles at 59.1%, and presenting with your own piece of Scottish oak.
Sweet, but dry, with lots of toasted wood, nuts, chocolate, coffee, and spiciness. Indulgent, and unique.
