We are the south of Scotland’s only scratch rum distillery

Ninefold Rum Distillery is a unique attraction in the south of Scotland, and within about 10 minutes of the A75 and M74, close to Annan and Gretna Green.

We love to welcome visitors to the distillery, however due to our tiny scale, we are a little limited as to when we can have guests.

The distillery is run by a single person (not including the cat!), so we open up especially for tours. While we try and be flexible, often tours are worked around production or other commitments.

We can accommodate up to 10 people on a tour, with a minimum booking of two tickets.

Please let us know via the email below when you are looking to book a tour, giving us at least 48hrs notice, and we will try to accommodate!

  • We are currently not open for drop-ins, however if you’d like to pop in to buy some rum, or book a tour, please get in touch with us at kit@ninefolddistillery.com or via the Contact page.

  • £20 for adults 18+
    £10 for children 12-17 years old

    Your tour includes a rum tasting at the end of the tour (around 4-6 rums in total), with drivers able to take away ‘drivers’ drams’ to try at home.

    The minimum booking is two people (£40).

    Unfortunately we can’t take anyone under 12 years old due to licensing restrictions.

  • Tours typically last 1.5-2hrs, depending on how many questions you have for us!

  • Tours are standing for the entirety, however chairs can be provided upon request.

    The distillery is fully wheelchair accessible, with notice.

  • We are a fully operational production facility, so no dogs are permitted inside the distillery, with the exception of guide or emotional support dogs. If you’re unsure, please contact us first.

    Please be aware that the distillery shares a yard with a private residence, and our distillery cat. Polite dogs are welcome in the car park provided they are on a lead at all times, and please respect our residential neighbour’s property.

  • Smoking or vaping is not permitted within the yard or any of the distillery buildings.

  • If you’re lucky, the second member of our team will grace us with his presence. Although, more than likely, he’ll be sleeping off his mousing escapades.

    He’s a friendly cat, but if you are allergic or cat phobic, please let us know in advance.

  • Tickets are 100% refundable for groups of 6 or less up to 48hrs before your tour starts.

    Groups of 7-10 guests are 50% refundable up to 48hrs before your tour.

    While we completely understand that circumstances may change at the last minute, we cannot offer refunds within 48hrs as the distillery is prepared and opened especially for your tour. We can, however, give you store credit to use on our online shop if you wish.
