owner & head distiller
Kit is the founder, owner and distiller (and every other job pretty much) at Ninefold Distillery. He decided to build a micro rum distillery on his family’s estate in rural southwest Scotland after struggling to find work following completion of a PhD in 2016. Kit was the only employee at the distillery through two years of planning and building, and three years of operation. Praise/complaints about our rums should be directed to the man himself!
Watson

Watson is Kit’s shadow, happily following him and his guests around the distillery, usually in hope of a treat or three. Watson’s main role (it says here) is to keep the mice out of the molasses, but really he’s a part of the Ninefold furniture and now part of the branding. Can you spot him on our bottle and labels?
