Scottish Oak - 3 Years (Bottles 2-10)

£250.00

Scottish rum aged in Scottish oak, a seven year project that started before we even had a distillery.

This is the inaugural release of rum made from scratch by us, and aged for three years in a toasted virgin Scottish oak barrel made from oak sourced on our own estate.

A completely unique rum with a unique story. And now available to buy!

Cask: #DO32 - 200 litre Scottish oak, medium toast
Age: 3 years
ABV: 59.1%
Bottles: 240, individually numbered

For the first ten bottles of this release only, we collaborated with Kinross-shire based woodworker Gerry Neely to make bespoke presentation boxes from the same oak that we used to make our barrels. A tangible and beautiful connection to our distillery and our estate.

The inside of each hand made box has been toasted, to mirror the toasting on the inside of the cask. The bottle collar and box lid have been laser engraved by Rob Brydon-Brown with Judith Wild’s wonderful commissioned illustrations of oak leaves and swallows.

Also inside you’ll find a frameable illustration by Judith Wild of an oak tree, our still, Watson the distillery cat, barrels, and more. On the back of the illustration you can read about the story of the casks, the rum, and the artists involved in this project.

Not only that, but you will receive one of only 15 hand printed linocut prints, numbered to match your bottle and box, by Judith Wild. And a 5cL miniature, in case you can’t bring yourself to open the full size bottle!

This listing is for bottle numbers: 002 to 010. Bottle 001 is sold separately by blind bidding in an auction. Please email if you’re interested in participating.

Limit of one per person/household/customer. We reserve the right to amend your order to ensure fair allocation.

  • 70cL bottle, presented in a bespoke handmade oak box;

  • 5cL miniature;

  • Small frameable illustration by Judith Wild;

  • Large 42 x 52cm hand printed linocut version of the illustration, one of 15 prints, unframed.
